The castle rises on a hill above the town of Golub-Dobrzyń (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), at ul. PTTK 13.
The Gothic castle was built in the Middle Ages as a stronghold of the Teutonic Order, the seat of a commander. After the wars with the Order it came under Polish rule; in the early modern period it was rebuilt, acquiring Renaissance features. The figure of Anna Vasa is associated with the castle. Today the site is cared for by the PTTK.
Gothic-Renaissance interiors, museum exhibitions, an arms display; the site also houses a hotel.
