The castle is located in Baranów Sandomierski (Subcarpathian Voivodeship), surrounded by a historic park, on the Vistula River.
This Renaissance castle was built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries for the Leszczyński family; its design is associated with the circle of the outstanding architects of the era. With its arcaded courtyard and characteristic attics, the castle is regarded as one of the most beautiful in Poland and is sometimes called 'Little Wawel'.
