The castle in Nowe on the Vistula (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) was built by the Teutonic Knights in the 14th century, on the site of a former Pomeranian castellany.
Today the building houses the vibrant Zamek Cultural Centre. The institution serves as a small regional museum - in the corridors and halls, memorabilia related to the history of Nowe and its inhabitants are displayed (old photographs, documents, exhibits).
The Centre has an auditorium with 300 seats, an exhibition hall, a rehearsal room and a library.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, during the cultural centre's working hours. Admission inside is free.
The castle is on the Vistula in Nowe, at 3 Zamkowa Street.
