The picturesque ruins of Tenczyn Castle in the village of Rudno in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland (Lesser Poland Province), about 40 minutes from Kraków. The castle was built on a hill of volcanic origin.
The Gothic castle gradually grew into an extensive complex, comprising the upper, middle and lower castle as well as Renaissance palaces from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries.
Open during the tourist season on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Guided tours for individual visitors on the hour, 11:00-16:00. Standard ticket PLN 16, reduced PLN 12.
In the village of Rudno there is a paid car park by the castle, approx. 200 m from the destination.
