Sielec Castle in Sosnowiec

A historic fortified building in Sosnowiec (Silesian Voivodeship), situated on the left bank of the Czarna Przemsza river, in the Sielec district. It is the oldest element of the town's architecture.

History

Following archaeological research and archival queries, it was established that the castle's origins may date back to the 15th century.

Current state

The castle houses the Sosnowiec Centre of Art - Sielec Castle, which organises cultural events and exhibitions.
