A Baroque ducal palace in Żagań (Lubusz Voivodeship), erected in the 17th century on the site of a medieval Piast castle from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, on the orders of Albrecht von Wallenstein.
The palace is among the most important residential monuments of the Lubusz region and of Poland. It is surrounded by an extensive park, considered before World War II to be one of the most beautiful in Silesia.
The palace and park complex is open year-round. Tickets 20-25 PLN/person, available at the Tourist Information Centre (Porter's Lodge). Visits by guided tour only.
