Iwonicz-Zdrój is one of the oldest Polish health resorts; the first mentions of the therapeutic properties of the local springs date back to 1578.
The resort is located in the Low Beskids, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The naturalistic spa park was designed in accordance with the layout of the valley and connected with the surrounding forests.
