Velo Dunajec is one of the mountain routes of the VeloMalopolska network, 237 km long, running from Zakopane to Wietrzychowice, where the Dunajec flows into the Vistula. The route runs along the Dunajec, through Podhale, the Pieniny, the Beskids and the surroundings of the Tatras.
The most commonly described course: Zakopane - Nowy Targ - Czorsztyn/Niedzica - Szczawnica - Nowy Sącz - Tarnów. The route passes Lake Czorsztyn, the Dunajec and the area of the Pieniny National Park.
According to regional information, over 90% of the main VeloMalopolska routes have a bituminous surface; a significant part runs on separate roads for cyclists.
Available year-round and free of charge; recommended season spring to autumn.
Convenient start from Zakopane, Nowy Targ or Nowy Sącz (rail and bus connections).
