The brine cascade in Sołonka, about 20 km south of Rzeszów in the Dynów Foothills, was created between 2009 and 2010 with the participation of EU funds. It uses natural brine springs from the Miocene period.
The facility is located in the village of Sołonka, near a historic brine well dated to 1596 (dendrochronological studies by AGH Kraków). A mini amphitheatre with benches was created opposite the spring.
The brine flowing down the cascade releases iodine with health-promoting properties, particularly for the respiratory system. In the Regional Chamber in Sołonka you can see historic mining equipment from the brine well.
For tourists, cyclists (the Green Velo trail) and people looking for open-air iodine inhalations.
A mini amphitheatre with benches, a brine spring, a Regional Chamber; the facility is on the route of the Green Velo cycling trail.
The spring pumps and fountains operate from May to October from 10:00-21:00; the site is accessible around the clock and free of charge.
