Krynica-Zdrój is one of the best-known mountain health resorts in Poland (Beskid Sądecki), with a rich balneological tradition dating back to the beginning of the 19th century.
The town lies in the valley of the Kryniczanka stream. Characteristic features are its representative promenade and mineral water pump rooms.
The Main Pump Room in the centre of the promenade offers mineral waters including Słotwinka, Jan, Tadeusz, Zdrój Główny and Zuber. A cable car to Parkowa Mountain operates, along with numerous sanatoriums.

The resort is open year-round. The Main Pump Room is usually open in season from 10:00-14:00 and 14:30-18:00 (hours vary off-season) - please confirm on an ongoing basis.
