Polańczyk is a submontane spa town in the Bieszczady Mountains, the region's largest spa and holiday resort, situated on Lake Solina.
The spa lies on a peninsula jutting into Lake Solina (approx. 440 m above sea level), the largest artificial reservoir in Poland.
Spa status was granted due to the presence of mineral waters (including bicarbonate-chloride-sodium waters and iodide waters) and favourable climatic conditions. It combines treatment with lakeside recreation.

The spa is open year-round; tourist traffic is heaviest in the summer season.
