Sopot

Sopot is a statutory seaside health resort on the Bay of Gdańsk, which gained spa status in 1999, combining therapeutic, leisure and cultural functions.

Location and surroundings

The town lies between Gdańsk and Gdynia (the Tri-City), on the Bay of Gdańsk.

What is on offer

Balneological treatment uses Sopot brine (bromide-iodide) from a deep borehole. The historic Balneological Facility (1903-04) is part of a rheumatology centre. The symbol of the town is the longest wooden pier in Europe.
