Uniejów is the youngest and only thermal spa in Poland (thermal spa status since 2012), located in the Łódź Voivodeship.
The town lies on the Warta River, in the Poddębice County; it is known for the castle of the archbishops of Gniezno.
Its activity is based on geothermal waters at a temperature of about 68°C, extracted from a depth of about 2,000 m - sodium-chloride waters with healing properties. The thermal water is also used to heat the town (geothermal energy).
