Ustroń
Równica rises to about 885 m above sea level in the Silesian Beskids, on the ridge separating the Wisła and Brennica valleys. It towers over the spa district of Ustroń and is one of the most visited summits in the region, mainly because the plateau can be reached both by several hiking trails and by road.
At the top there is the Koliba pod Czarcim Kopytem inn, a rope park with a course about 400 metres long, a shooting range for children, the Izba Harnasia and a complex with a toboggan and rubber-ring run. Lower down, at about 758 m above sea level, stands the PTTK mountain hut opened in 1928, its form echoing regional architecture.
This is a family outing rather than a demanding hike: the approaches from Ustroń are short and not exposed, and the attractions at the top will keep children busy for a few hours. Dogs are allowed and the car park near the summit is paid, which is worth planning for.
