A hill above central Gdynia

Kamienna Góra is the smallest district of Gdynia, set entirely on a moraine hill of the same name whose top reaches 52 m above sea level. The slope drops straight towards the seafront, and its villas and townhouses count among the most prestigious addresses in Poland.

The view from the top

A viewpoint on the summit opens onto a panorama of the port, the city centre and the Bay of Gdańsk. Wide steps lead up and a funicular offers an alternative, so seniors and people with limited mobility can reach the top as well. A landmark cross stands at the summit, visible from much of the city.

The surroundings

The seafront quarter of Gdynia begins at the foot of the hill: the Seaside Boulevard, the pier and Kościuszko Square. The Gdynia City Museum and the Naval Museum are a short walk away, so the climb combines easily with a full day of sightseeing.
