Kuźnice, Zakopane
Nosal is a limestone peak of the foothill range in the Western Tatras, rising to 1,206 m above sea level above Kuźnice, between the Bystra and Olczyska valleys. Its sharp, distinctive outline makes it one of the recognisable elements of the Zakopane skyline.
Despite its modest height, Nosal is among the most accessible Tatra summits — the ascent takes about 40 minutes. From the top you can see the main ridge of the Tatras, the Giewont massif known as the Sleeping Knight, and the panorama of Zakopane. The final stretch is steep and rocky.
The green trail leads from Kuźnice over Nosalowa Przełęcz and the summit to the Murowanica stop; each leg takes about 35–40 minutes. From Nosalowa Przełęcz a yellow trail branches off to Polana Olczyska (25–30 minutes). The rules of the Tatra National Park apply.
