Wieś Tyrawa Wołoska
The Góry Słonne viewpoint sits at about 550 m above sea level in the commune of Tyrawa Wołoska, Sanok district. It was built beside national road 28, on the stretch of hairpin bends leading from Sanok towards Przemyśl, within the Góry Słonne Landscape Park.
The terrace opens a broad panorama of the borderland between the Góry Słonne and the Bieszczady. In good visibility you can pick out Magura Łomiańska, Żuków, Ostre, Trohaniec and Jawor, and further away the polonina ridges with Smerek, Korbania, Jasło, Łopiennik and Wołosań. The view takes in wooded ridges dropping towards the San valley.
This is a stop of ten minutes or so, ideal for a break on the way into the Bieszczady. A car park has been laid out beside the terrace, and the turning off the main road is clearly signposted, so it is hard to miss. The hardened surface makes the spot accessible to visitors with pushchairs. Beech woods typical of this part of Podkarpacie surround it.
