A ski resort in the heart of Podhale

The GrapaSki ski resort lies in Czarna Góra, a small village in the Tatra County right next to the well known Białka Tatrzańska. It is one of those resorts chosen by families and by skiers looking for a calmer alternative to the busiest stations of the Podhale region.

The slopes spread across a gentle hillside from which, in good weather, you can see the panorama of the Tatra and Pieniny Mountains. The nearby Slovak border and the Spisz region mean the area is often less crowded than the surroundings of Zakopane.

Runs and lifts

The heart of the resort is a four seater chairlift about 900 metres long with a vertical rise of more than 150 metres. It is complemented by three ski tows serving shorter sections and the beginners area.

The runs are marked blue and red, so both people taking their first steps on skis and skiers looking for faster descents will find something here. The wide slopes work well for learning.

Attractions for families

The snowtubing track is very popular, a ride on inflatable rings down a secured chute, available also for the youngest visitors. A ski school and an equipment rental operate on site, so there is no need to bring your own skis.

Good to know

A spacious car park has been prepared below the slopes. The resort lies about 17 km from Nowy Targ and 22 km from Zakopane, and a seasonal ski bus runs to Czarna Góra, which makes access easier for those staying in larger towns.
