Rabka-Zdrój
Maciejowa (815 m a.s.l.) lies on the long ridge running north from Turbacz towards Rabka-Zdrój. The climb is gentle and requires no mountain experience, so it is often the first summit in this range for families with children. The whole area belongs to the Rabka-Zdrój commune in Nowy Targ county.
The Main Beskid Trail named after Kazimierz Sosnowski runs across the summit. The panorama takes in the Babia Góra massif, the Polica Range and the Beskid Makowski. The shortest ascent follows the black trail from Rabka-Zdrój and takes about 40 minutes; the longer route along the Main Beskid Trail is some 4.3 km.
A kilometre south-east of the top stands the PTTK mountain hut Bacówka na Maciejowej (852 m a.s.l.) with a viewing terrace facing the Beskid Wyspowy — a good place for a hot meal. The route is open all year and calls for proper footwear in winter. Dogs are welcome on the hike.
