Wieś Brenna
Błatnia, also called Błotny, rises to 917 m above sea level in the Silesian Beskids, on the border between Brenna and Bielsko-Biała. The massif is covered with mixed and beech forests, while the summit area is taken up by a broad clearing with views of the surrounding ranges, including the Barania Góra group.
The ridges here and the southern slopes descending towards the valley of the Chrobaczy Potok stream are covered with a network of former pastures – until the Second World War this was one of the more important centres of shepherding in the Beskids. In 1925–1926 a mountain hut was built at the top and it still operates today.
The easiest ascent is the green trail from the centre of Brenna (1.5–2 hours); the yellow one leads in 2–2.5 hours to the hut and the cable car station on Szyndzielnia. A ranch offering horse riding operates nearby, and open-air festivities are held on the clearing.
