Wieś Ojców
Góra Okopy (460 m a.s.l.) stands on the Olkusz Upland within Ojców National Park, above the Prądnik Valley. The green trail to the top is only 0.6 km long and takes about 25 minutes, so it is within reach of children and older visitors. The path climbs through woodland and is shaded from the sun.
The summit is crowned by a group of limestone tors known as the Okopy. They hide two caves — Okopy Wielka Dolna and Okopy Wielka Górna. From the viewpoint you look out over the Prądnik Valley and the buildings of Ojców. The setting is made up of beech woods and rocky grasslands typical of the Jura.
Fragments of the ramparts of an early medieval stronghold survive on the top, identified during archaeological research — the name of the hill comes from them. The green trail ends at the park road, about two kilometres from the Kraków Gate.
