Bielsko-Biała
Kozia Góra, also known as Stefanka, is 683 m above sea level and lies in the Silesian Beskids, within the boundaries of Bielsko-Biała. It is covered with beech forest, and its modest height together with a dense network of trails makes it one of the more frequent walking destinations for locals and visitors.
Just below the summit stands a mountain hut, colloquially also called Stefanka. On the top a natural toboggan run from the 1950s has survived, now out of use – in its day it was considered the longest facility of its kind in Europe.
The routes are of similar length: beginners are best served by the green trail from Cygański Las (approx. 1 hour 45 minutes), while the shortest ascent is the red one from Równia and the blue one from Bystra – 30 to 45 minutes. Taking the red and then the blue trail from Równia, you pass a stone altar table known as “Jan”, used for secret services in the times of the Counter-Reformation.
