Wieś Karłów
Narożnik, rising to about 850 m above sea level, lies in the south-eastern part of the Stołowe Mountains, within the Stołowe Mountains National Park. It stands south-east of Lisia Przełęcz pass, which separates it from the Skalniak massif. The summit is crowned by a group of sandstone blocks, climbed to reach a flat ledge that forms a natural viewing terrace.
From the top you can see the broad table mountains of the range, the Duszniki Depression and the Bystrzyckie and Orlickie ranges. The terrace has no railings, so care is needed near the edge, particularly with children and on wet rock. On the way up you pass a plaque set into the rock commemorating the murder of two students from a Wrocław university, and slightly lower a wide meadow dotted with single rocks, known as the African Savannah.
The shortest approach follows the blue trail from Karłów and measures about 2.3 km, roughly an hour of walking. The longer variant starts in Duszniki-Zdrój, runs some 7.5 km and takes 2.5 hours. National park rules apply, including the obligation to stay on marked trails.
