The highest peak of the range

Koskowa Góra is the culmination of the range of the same name in the Beskid Makowski, between Bogdanówka and Bieńkówka. The summit is flat, broad and treeless, which makes it a natural viewpoint above the surrounding valleys.

Panorama

From the open plateau you can see the hills around Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, the humps of the Wieliczka Foothills and the edge of the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. To the south, in good visibility, the Tatras appear, and further west the distinctive outline of Babia Góra.

Access

The yellow trail from Maków Podhalański via Stańkowa is a little over 8 km and takes 2.5 to 3 hours. You can also drive up to the pass between Koskowa Góra and Parszywka, beside a stone shrine from 1910 — a convenient option with children or older visitors.

  • Parking space at the pass
  • Marked hiking trails
  • Stone wayside shrine
Cost: Free admission Visit duration: approx. 1 hour Seasonality: All year round; access to the pass can be difficult in winter
