Bukowno
Diabla Góra is one of the isolated hills of the Jaworzno Hills, built of Triassic rock, on the edge of Bukowno. It is surrounded by a fine beech wood whose oldest stands are around two hundred and fifty years old. The area is under landscape protection.
A local tale links the hill with the brigand Popiel the Traitor, who is said to have hidden his loot in the cave here and struck a bargain with the devil, who guards the treasure to this day. The cave is real — about 107 metres long, formed in Triassic carbonate rock — but it is not open to visitors.
A circular trail of slightly over 6 km runs around the rise, starting and finishing by the Leśny Dwór in Bukowno. The route is easy, leads through shady woodland and suits a quiet walk with children; allow around two hours including stops.
