A wooden tower above the Bug valley

The wooden viewing tower stands on the edge of Mielnik in the Siemiatycze district, on a natural rise above the Bug valley. The structure is 12 metres high and has a roofed platform at the top. It is one of the best viewpoints in this part of Podlasie.

Panorama of the Bug valley

From the platform you can see the buildings of Mielnik, the meandering Bug valley and a mosaic of meadows, fields and forests reaching the horizon. The roof makes a longer stay possible even in changeable weather. The view alters strongly with the seasons and is most striking in spring and autumn.

A stop for families

Next to the tower there is a car park and a rest area with a fire pit, a table and benches under a shelter. It makes a convenient stop while touring the Bug river part of Podlasie, close to the chalk hills of the Góra Uszeście reserve and the Orthodox church in Mielnik. Mielnik itself lies on the border stretch of the Bug.
