Wieś Trzęsacz
The viewing terrace in Trzęsacz was opened in 2009, on the site of a former beach descent that had been dismantled for the duration of the protective works at the ruins of the Gothic church. The steel and reinforced concrete structure is 10 metres high, and the walkway running along it measures 36 metres.
The platform projects over the edge of the Baltic shore, so it takes in the open sea, the strip of beach at the foot of the cliff and the most famous feature of the village — the remains of the church wall, which slid down over the centuries together with the retreating coastline. It is one of the more popular spots on the western coast for watching sunrises and sunsets.
The visit is short and needs no ticket, and the structure itself is adapted for wheelchair access. Traffic is heaviest in summer and at sunset, so for a quieter look it is better to choose the morning or a time outside the holiday season. Trzęsacz lies along the coastal road that runs beside the shore.
