Wieś Koniaków
Ochodzita (895 m a.s.l.) is one of the most recognisable summits of the Beskid Śląski, rising above Koniaków in the Cieszyn district. Its grassy dome with only scattered buildings means the view opens in practically every direction, and the peak is considered one of the symbols of the Trójwieś Beskidzka area.
The summit offers a panorama of the Beskid ridges led by Babia Góra, as well as the scattered houses of Koniaków, a village famous for its lacemaking. A broadcasting station and a small chapel stand on the top, and a ski lift runs up the slope on the village side.
Ochodzita is one of those peaks you can almost drive up: a tarmac road reaches nearly the very top and the walk from the car park takes a quarter of an hour. Just below the summit stands Karczma Ochodzita, an inn serving regional food with folk music and staff in highland costume. That makes the mountain a target for short trips even with small children.
