Wieś Węgierska Górka
Redykalny Wierch (1,144 m above sea level) rises in the Żywiec Beskids, in the area of Węgierska Górka and Rajcza. Its name comes from the redyk — the spring drive of sheep up to the mountain pastures. For centuries shepherding shaped the landscape of this part of the Beskids and left behind open clearings among the forests.
The most frequently visited spots are two clearings on the slopes: Hala Redykalna and Hala Skorzacka. Both offer a broad view of the neighbouring ridges and make a natural place to rest during a hike. On the north-eastern arm of the peak hides a small fissure cave known as Jaskinia w Boraczej; its entrance lies about 300 metres north-west of the summit.
The most popular approach follows the blue trail from Rajcza — the route is 7.6 km long and takes about three and a half hours. The terrain is technically easy, but calls for decent fitness and a supply of water, as there are no refreshment points along the way.
