A viewpoint over Greater Poland

The observation tower in Paprotnia near Konin was built in 2015 on a hill about 118 m above sea level. The structure is around 22 metres high and 105 steps lead to the round terrace at the top. It is one of the few distinct viewpoints in the flat, agricultural landscape of eastern Greater Poland.

What you can see

From the top a panorama of the Konin district and the town of Konin itself opens up. In good visibility you can make out the power plants in Konin and Turek as well as the towers of the basilica in Licheń. The open landscape of fields, forests and the Konin lakes looks best in the early morning and before sunset.

Good to know

Next to the tower there is a roofed shelter with benches and a small playground, so the place works well for a short stop with children. The tower stands by national road no. 92 between Koło and Konin, which makes it a convenient stop along the route.
