Dąbrowa, Gdynia
Donas Hill in the Kashubian Lake District reaches 205.7 m above sea level and is the highest spot within the city limits of Gdynia. The summit itself is wooded, so the view is provided only by the Idea Góra Donas telecommunications tower, built in cooperation between the operator and the city, which doubles as a viewpoint.
The structure is 70 metres tall and the terrace open to visitors sits at 26 metres. From there the view takes in Gdynia, Sopot and some districts of Gdańsk, and in good visibility it reaches the Hel Peninsula and the waters of the Bay of Puck. Cool, clear days offer the best conditions.
Marked trails of the Tricity Landscape Park lead up the hill — the yellow route, most easily joined from the Dąbrowa district, and a black connecting trail. The climb is moderate and runs through forest the whole way, so it is worth allowing extra time.
