Wieś Myczkowce
Skałki Myczkowieckie is a natural monument in the Solina municipality, just below the dam that forms Lake Myczkowieckie. The line of rock walls runs for about 600 metres and at its highest point rises some 30 metres above the abandoned bed of the San, which the river left after the valley was dammed.
A viewpoint on top of the rocks opens onto the San valley, the village of Myczkowce and the surrounding hills of the Bieszczady Foothills. You can drive up to it, but the road offers only a small lay-by for a few cars — with a motorhome it is better to park lower down. A red-marked path starting near the Caritas centre runs along the foot of the walls.
The rocks are covered with thermophilous plants rare in this part of the Carpathians, and birds nest in the crevices, so it is worth keeping to the marked paths. A visit combines easily with the biblical garden and mini zoo in Myczkowce and with the dam in Solina.
