Wieś Brenna
Stary Groń is a long ridge in the Silesian Beskids, rising to 792 m above sea level over the village of Brenna. Slightly below the top, on a broad clearing, stands a wooden viewing tower twelve metres high — one of the more popular destinations for family walks in this part of the Beskids.
From the upper deck you can see Czantoria Wielka and Kotarz, the border ridges and the houses of Brenna scattered across the valley. In clear weather the view reaches the more distant ranges of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. Information boards and benches surround the tower, and a shepherd's hut was built nearby.
A green waymarked trail leads from Brenna to Stary Groń, about 3.6 km long; the moderately steep climb takes just under two hours. The clearing beneath the tower makes a comfortable resting spot, and the ridge allows the walk to continue towards Kotarz.
