Jawornik, Wisła
Cieślar rises to 920 m above sea level in the main ridge of the Czantoria and Stożek range, exactly on the Polish-Czech border. It lies between Wielki Sosnowiec and Mały Stożek, in an area popular with walkers setting out from Wisła.
Wide clearings cover the ridge, so both the ascent and the surroundings of the summit open up views over much of the Silesian Beskids and the ranges of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids on the Czech side. On the way it is worth stopping at the shepherd's hut selling smoked cheese from local huts.
The name of the peak comes from the surname Cieślar, recorded in the region as early as 1621 and today the most common name in Wisła. From Wisła the route follows first the yellow and then the red waymarked trail: about six kilometres and close to three hours of walking.
