Wieś Jodłówka Tuchowska
Brzanka (534 m above sea level) is one of the lowest summits of the Ciężkowice Foothills, rising above Jodłówka Tuchowska in the Tarnów district. In 2006 a steel lattice observation tower 23 metres high was built on top, with four viewing decks, the highest of them at about 18 metres.
From the top of the tower the view stretches over the Ciężkowice and Rożnów Foothills and, in clear air, as far as the Tatra Mountains. A topographic map mounted on the viewing deck helps to identify the hills. It is one of the best panoramic spots in this part of Lesser Poland.
A private shepherds hut, toilets, tables with benches and a fire pit are located at the foot of the tower, which makes Brzanka a comfortable family destination. You can drive up from Jodłówka Tuchowska, or walk the 2.2 km blue-marked trail, which takes about an hour.
