Solisko, Szczyrk
Malinów (1,115 m above sea level) is a flat, wide top in the Barania Góra range of the Silesian Beskids, above Szczyrk in the Bielsko district. It is built of the so-called Malinowa Skała conglomerates, which occur only in this part of the mountains.
The slopes reveal outcrops of very varied shapes, some of them reaching nine metres in height. The massif also hides extensive landslide caves: the Great Wisła Cave, with passages totalling more than two kilometres, and the Miecharska Cave. The Malinowska Cave is open to visitors.
The summit was cleared of forest in the past, so Czantoria, Stożek, Klimczok, Kotarz, Skrzyczne and Szczyrk can be seen from here. The shortest way is the red trail from the Salmopol Pass: 1.4 km and about 45 minutes. The longer option is the green trail from Szczyrk Solisko, 3 km and roughly an hour and three quarters.
