A summit in the Radziejowa Range

Dzwonkówka is a broad massif in the main ridge of the Radziejowa Range in the Sącz Beskids, rising to about 982 m. It lies between the Przysłop and Złotne passes, within the Poprad Landscape Park, above the Dunajec valley and Krościenko.

Clearings and traces of shepherding

The name refers to the local pastoral tradition, whose material traces are the clearings that have not yet been overgrown and that cut across the ridge section of the massif. Nearby lies an old cemetery known as Wisielce, linked in local lore with the burial of suicides. From the north the Złote settlement, part of Obidza, reaches up towards the summit; from the south-east come the fields and buildings of Krościenko nad Dunajcem and Szczawnica.

How to get up

The usual ascent starts in Obidza: the blue trail to the Przysłop pass, then the red one along the ridge. The route is about 6.5 km long and takes a little over three hours. The paths are gentle and run mostly through forest, with views opening up on the clearings.
