A summit in the Radziejowa Range

Jaworzyna is a 936 m hill in the Beskid Sądecki, set in the main ridge of the Radziejowa Range above Tylmanowa in the Nowy Targ district. It is not a prominent culmination, but its position above the Dunajec valley makes it a convenient goal for a one-day walk from the surrounding villages.

Landscape and nature

The western slopes falling towards the Dunajec valley, together with the broad Kolebisko clearing, belong to the Poprad Landscape Park; among the plants found here is the rare two-coloured thistle. The partly open summit offers views of Dzwonkówka, Lubań, the Złotne Pass, Pasterski Wierch, Błyszcz, Koziarz and the valley of the Obidzki Stream.

Access

The shortest approach follows the yellow trail from Tylmanowa — about 4.7 km and roughly two hours and twenty minutes of walking. A longer variant starts in Łącko and measures 7.1 km. On the way you pass the farmsteads of the Wyrostki and Wielga hamlets, typical of scattered settlement in the Beskid Sądecki.

Cost: Free admission Visit duration: approx. 4 hours Seasonality: All year round; trails may be snow-covered in winter
