Ustroń
Mała Czantoria rises to 866 m in the main ridge of the Czantoria Range in the Silesian Beskids, above Ustroń in Cieszyn County. It has steep slopes and is built of thick-bedded siliceous sandstones of the Godula nappe, typical of this part of the Beskids.
The mountain is mostly forested, but several clearings have survived near the top, remnants of the former shepherding economy. From their edges there is a view of Ustroń, neighbouring Wielka Czantoria and the Cieszyn Foothills from Cieszyn to Skoczów. On the south-western slopes stands a monument at the place where partisans of the “Czantoria” unit were killed during the Second World War.
The most convenient approach follows the yellow trail from Ustroń Zdrój, starting at the railway station. The route is about 5.6 km long and takes roughly two and a half hours. The peak is often combined in one trip with Wielka Czantoria, reached by the continuation of the ridge trail.
