ul.Hallera 19 b, Władysławowo
The observation tower in Władysławowo rises to almost 70 metres and is the most recognisable part of Dom Rybaka (the Fisherman's House), a building erected on Hallera Street in the 1950s. It originally served as a hotel; today it houses the town hall and a private Butterfly Museum with a collection of more than three thousand specimens.
The tower has two viewing levels: the lower one at 45 metres and the upper one at 63 metres, popularly called the ball. Both offer a panorama of the Baltic Sea, the Hel Peninsula and the coast as far as Gdynia. There are 171 steps to the lower terrace and another 93 above it — the lower level can also be reached by lift.
On the upper terrace the sea wind makes it noticeably colder than at ground level, so a jacket is worth taking even in summer. The building stands at the far end of Hallera Street, near the fishing harbour, with a car park close by. The climb and a look around usually take between fifteen and thirty minutes.
