A fairy-tale residence in the Opole region

Moszna Castle lies in a small village in the Krapkowice district, west of Krapkowice. It began as a Baroque noble seat, and its present fairy-tale shape came from extensions at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries carried out by the Tiele-Winckler family. The result is a building combining several styles, with its characteristic forest of turrets.

What to see

The castle is famous for the number of its rooms and towers, counted in the hundreds and now its trademark. Visitors tour the representative interiors, while a vast park spreads around, with impressive old trees and a collection of rhododendrons and azaleas — at their finest in late spring, in the blooming season.

Events and stays

The complex also serves as a hotel and conference venue, and through the year it hosts concerts, family events and themed occasions, including a May festival of classical music. It is worth checking the current programme before arriving, as some attractions are available only on selected dates.
