A residence near the Vistula

The palace and park complex in Nowy Duninów was created in the 19th century on the initiative of the Ike-Dunikowski family and remained in their hands until 1939. The estate was then known for breeding pedigree sheep, horses and cattle. The grounds lie on the edge of the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, close to the Włocławek Reservoir.

Palace, hunting lodge and little castle

The brick palace was raised on the site of an earlier seat, built on a rectangular plan with ten axes — a solution rarely met in Mazovia. Beside it stands a former hunting lodge, converted from an even older manor, and a Neo-Gothic building known as the castle, once surrounded by water.

Park and surroundings

The buildings are enclosed by a historic landscape park with old-growth trees and a network of alleys, crossed by a small stream. The buildings await renovation and are viewed from the outside, but a walk through the park is pleasant in any season, and the nearby forests and reservoir shores invite longer trips.
