Cycling route around Lake Wigry

A cycling route encircling Lake Wigry in the Wigry National Park, running along the shoreline with numerous viewpoints over the bays and islands of the lake. On the park section it coincides with the international R11 route.

  • Loop length approx. 44 km.
  • Route: Gawrych Ruda – Słupie – Sobolewo – Krzywe – Stary Folwark – Rosochaty Róg – Piaski – Krusznik – Bryzgiel.
  • Viewpoints including from Łysa Góra over Lake Wigry.

  • The former Camaldolese monastery in Wigry.
  • Bays: Wigierki, Słupiańska, Cieszkinajki.
