Kępa Redłowska is a landscape reserve of almost 122 hectares, established in 1938 and located in Gdynia between Orłowo and Redłowo. It covers a coastal morainic plateau that drops towards the Bay of Gdańsk in a steep cliff — one of the best preserved on the Polish coast.
The reserve was created to protect natural beech forests and a stand of Swedish whitebeam, a rare tree regarded as a symbol of Gdynia. The cliff is subject to abrasion: the sea undercuts its foot and forms an abrasion platform. The slopes reach about 86 m above sea level, offering a wide view over the bay from the top.
Two routes cross the area: a nature and landscape trail running from the Seaside Boulevard along the beach, and a geomorphological trail leading from the beach in Orłowo to the GDY 14 entrance, near which a viewpoint on the Redłowo Headland has been arranged. The climbs can be steep and sandy.
