Lubawka
Kruczy Kamień protects abiotic nature in the south-central part of the Krucze Mountains, within the Lubawka commune in the Sudetes. It was established in 1954 to preserve a rock formation with a clearly readable porphyry intrusion into sedimentary layers, together with the xerothermic vegetation around it.
The reserve covers barely 13 hectares and its highest point, Krucza Skała, reaches 681 m above sea level. Cliffs of up to thirty metres cut across the site, opening views over the surrounding valleys. Protected species grow on the sunlit slopes: French rose, stemless carline thistle, martagon lily and lily of the valley.
Two waymarked trails, green and blue, cross the reserve. The blue one starts next to the stadium in Lubawka, and the return walk takes about three hours. The path is stony and steep, unsuitable for pushchairs.
