Dinopark in Szklarska Poręba occupies a large wooded site on Muzealna Street, at the foot of the Karkonosze mountains. Several dozen life-size reconstructions of prehistoric reptiles are spread along the trail; the shade of the trees and the uneven ground add to their credibility.
The park mixes exhibition with entertainment. There is a 6D cinema with moving seats and weather effects, a two-level playground, the „Małpi Gaj” rope park, an inflatables zone and a small train. You can also pan for gold, throw a tomahawk, shoot a bow or join a palaeontology workshop.
Walking the trail itself takes about an hour, considerably longer with the extra attractions. It makes a handy fallback for a day when mountain weather rules out a longer hike. The route follows forest paths, in places climbing a gentle slope.
