ul. Zamkowa 9, Kowary
The park in Kowary presents the most important monuments of Lower Silesia in miniature. The collection numbers around sixty models — castles, palaces, churches and old town centres — including sites from the Kłodzko region, Lusatia and the Czech town of Vrchlabi. It stands on Zamkowa Street, at the foot of the Karkonosze mountains.
The models were made mainly at a scale of 1:25, some at 1:50, with great care for detail. The open-air display is set among plant and flower arrangements, while models built from weather-sensitive materials stand under a roof.
Visitors can walk round on their own or with a guide who describes the monuments on display. A full circuit takes roughly three quarters of an hour, so it fits easily into a drive through the Jelenia Góra valley. Free parking is available nearby.
