Legendia, the Silesian Amusement Park, operates in Chorzów within the grounds of Silesia Park and is the oldest funfair in the country — it opened in 1959. It covers about 26 hectares holding several dozen rides for children, teenagers and adults alike.
The park's signature attractions are its four roller coasters: Scary Toys Factory, Dream Hunters Society, Tornado and the Lech coaster. There are also two water rides — Diamond River and Dolina Jaki — as well as a Ferris wheel some forty metres high. Towering above it all is the Silesia Tower, roughly fifty metres tall, offering a view over the conurbation.
The rides are grouped into family, children's and thrill-seeker categories, so a visit works well for a mixed-age group. Restaurants and cafés operate on site, and after the rides it is worth taking a stroll through the surrounding Silesia Park.
