A dinosaur park in Zator

Zatorland is a large theme park in Zator in the Oświęcim district, regarded as the biggest complex of its kind in Central Europe. It was laid out on densely wooded ground, so the visit takes place in the shade of the trees. Its backbone is an educational trail presenting the life of prehistoric reptiles.

What to see

Around a hundred dinosaur models line the route, most of them moving and equipped with sound. Visitors can see huge sauropods, a tyrannosaur and Argentinosaurus — the largest moving dinosaur model in the world. The trail ends at the Museum of Skeletons and Fossils, which gathers fossilised animals and skeleton fragments.

For families

An extra attraction are palaeontology workshops run by specialists: with professional tools, participants uncover dinosaur bones hidden in blocks of plaster. The alleys are surfaced and passable for prams, and walking the whole trail usually takes about two hours.
