Mikroskala is an indoor model park on Świętojańska Street in Konin that combines entertainment with education. The display consists of models on very varied themes — historical, natural and cinematic — presented in illuminated dioramas built with great attention to detail.
Among the models are scenes from popular films, the fleet of Columbus off the Caribbean coast, Noah's Ark and the sinking Titanic, alongside settings from fairy tales for the youngest. A separate, extensive section is devoted to railway layouts with trains in motion — the main reason modelling enthusiasts come here. Children have a fairy-tale land with an interactive train, a funfair and a dinosaur scene.
The visit includes a film and demonstrations explaining how the models are built. A shop with model kits and puzzles operates by the exit. The exhibition is under a roof, which makes it a good idea for a rainy day; walking round takes about an hour.
